Siege day 38

1 Chronicles 20:4-8 (MSG)
Later war broke out with the Philistines at Gezer. That was the time Sibbecai the Hushathite killed Sippai of the clan of giants. The Philistines had to eat crow.

Sibbecai–the Lord sustains
Sippai–threshold silver cup

Our Father in heaven,
You sustain us in every way. Provide the schools in the Mississippi Delta with all that is needful. If the spirits of financial devouring and greed hold sway over the schools, we bind and rebuke them in the name of Jesus.

In another war with the Philistines, Elhanan son of Jair killed Lahmi, the brother of Goliath the Gittite whose spear was like a ship’s boom.

Elhanan–God is gracious
Jair–my light who diffuses light
Lahmi–my bread my war

Our Father in heaven,
You are gracious. In Your light there is no darkness at all. Your Son Jesus is the light of the world and the bread of life.
If the spirits of gluttony and anger hold sway over the schools in the Mississippi Delta, we bind and rebuke them in the name of Jesus.

And then there was the war at Gath that featured a hulking giant who had twenty-four fingers and toes, six on each hand and foot—yet another from the clan of giants. When he mocked Israel, Jonathan son of Shimea, David’s brother, killed him. These came from the clan of giants and were killed by David and his men.

Jonathan–gift of God
Shimei–to hear, listen, obey

Our Father in heaven,
You are magnanimous. Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, coming down from You, the Father of lights, with whom can be no variation, neither shadow that is cast by turning. If the spirit of mockery holds sway over the schools in the Mississippi Delta, we bind and rebuke it in the name of Jesus.
We pray Your kingdom come, Your will be done in the schools of the Mississippi Delta. We thank You that it is Your good pleasure to give us the kingdom. We thank You that it is Your good pleasure to give us the kingdom in the schools of the Mississippi Delta. Amen.
