Proverbs 8:2-3,33-35 Amp
On the top of the heights beside the way, where the paths meet, stands Wisdom [skillful and godly]; At the gates at the entrance of the town, at the coming in at the doors, she cries out . . .
Hear instruction and be wise, and do not refuse or neglect it. Blessed (happy, fortunate, to be envied) is the man who listens to me, watching daily at my gates, waiting at the posts of my doors. For whoever finds me [Wisdom] finds life and draws forth and obtains favor from the Lord.
Your wisdom abounds on the heights, at the crossroads, at city gates, and at the portals, and we thank You. Blessed is Your wisdom, and blessed are the heights, crossroads, city gates, and portals of the Mississippi Delta.
We pray that our leaders will hear instruction and be wise. May they listen, watch, and wait for Your wisdom, not the world’s. In particular, we humbly pray that Representative Bennie Thompson will seek Your wisdom regarding the Iran nuclear deal. Grant him listening ears, discernment, and a courageous heart. We earnestly desire Your life and favor for the Mississippi Delta. Amen.
