“Justice of the people”

Colossians 4:15 (NLT)
Please give my greetings to our brothers and sisters at Laodicea, and to Nympha and the church that meets in her house.

Laodicea–justice of the people

Under our justice system, Circuit Courts hear felony criminal prosecutions and civil lawsuits. Circuit Courts hear appeals from County, Justice and Municipal courts and from administrative boards and commissions. They represent the “justice of the people.” These cities host circuit court judges:

District 9: Vicksburg
District 21: Lexington
District 5: Kosciusko, Ackerman
District 4: Indianola, Greenwood, Greenville
District 11: Clarksdale, Cleveland
District 17: Hernando, Batesville, Sardis

Our Father in heaven,
We pray for an increase in corporate worship in people’s homes in Vicksburg, Lexington, Kosciusko, Ackerman, Indianola, Greenwood, Greenville, Clarksdale, Cleveland, Hernando, Batesville, and Sardis–more Bible study groups, prayer groups, and house churches. A new work in these cities of the justice of the people!
We decree Your kingdom come, Your will be done in the Circuit Court cities of the Mississippi Delta–Your justice rolling down like a river and Your righteousness like an overflowing stream. Amen.

  1. Jill, this prayer is already being answered. I know of a Christian woman in Vicksburg who is a nurse and who is being led to start Community Bible Study groups for mothers in the Vicksburg area. I may be wrong, but I believe these are neighborhood based groups which sometimes meet in homes. I will try to find out more.
