Esther 8:2,15,16 (AMP)
The king took off his signet ring which he had taken away from Haman, and gave it to Mordecai. And Esther put Mordecai in charge of the house of Haman. . . . Then Mordecai departed from the presence of the king in royal apparel of blue and white, with a large crown of gold and with a robe of fine linen and purple wool; and the city of Susa shouted and rejoiced. For [at this time] the Jews had light [a dawn of new hope] and gladness and joy and honor.
Our Father in heaven,
We are in a season of elections in the United States of America, and in so many ways we are like lost sheep. Take pity, Lord, and raise up godly, wise persons in positions of governmental authority in our land. Replace the Hamans with Mordecais, we pray. Amen.
