Revive Yazoo

Revive Yazoo, a citywide revival in Yazoo City, will be held July 11-15 at 7 pm at McCoy Elementary School.

From Wikipedia:

The Cities of Refuge were six Levitical towns in the Kingdom of Israel and the Kingdom of Judah in which the perpetrators of manslaughter could claim the right of asylum; outside of these cities, blood vengeance against such perpetrators was allowed by law. The Torah names the six cities as being cities of refuge: Golan, Ramoth, and Bosor, on the east of the Jordan River, and Kedesh, Shechem, and Hebron on the western side.

Golan–passage, revolution, circle

Dear Father, Yazoo yearns to lean on Your everlasting arms. Grant passage to the revival for many, many visitors.

Ramoth–eminences, heights

Dear Father, Yazoo yearns to lean on Your everlasting arms. May the messages of Bishop Edward Duku; Pastor Dan Willis; Dr. Robert and Rev. Pam Armstrong bring Yazoo to new heights.

Bosor–burning or torch

Dear Father, Yazoo yearns to lean on Your everlasting arms. May Your Holy Word blaze brightly.

Kedesh–a sanctuary

Dear Father, Yazoo yearns to lean on Your everlasting arms. May the lost find sanctuary under the shelter of Your wing.

Shechem–shoulder

Dear Father, Yazoo yearns to lean on Your everlasting arms. May the Christians of Yazoo walk in obedience and carry their crosses.

Hebron–a community; alliance

Dear Father, Yazoo yearns to lean on Your everlasting arms. May the Christians in Yazoo dwell together in unity and receive Your blessing of life forevermore for our community. Amen.
