Rebuilding the wall, part six

Years earlier, Malchijah was confronted by Ezra for the sin of taking a pagan wife (Ezra 10:31). He repented, made a stand for righteousness, and served the Lord.

Nehemiah 3 (VOICE)
Malchijah (Harim’s son) and Hasshub (Pahath-moab’s son) repaired another section and the oven tower. A half-district ruler named Shallum (Hallohesh’s son) and his daughters partnered with Malchijah.

Yahweh God, You are King over heaven and earth! We exalt Your power and wisdom.
You used no professional builders in rebuilding the wall of Jerusalem–no carpenters, architects, or stonemasons. Instead, You used priests, Levites, merchants, perfumers, goldsmiths, penitent sinners, and women.
The foolishness of God is wiser than men, and the weakness of God is stronger than men. We lift up to You that which is foolish, weak, low, and despised in the Mississippi Delta for the glory of Your name and the establishment of Your kingdom on earth as it is in heaven. Amen.
1 Corinthians 1:18-24
