Philadelphia, PA–Commerce

In light of the upcoming national elections, I will be looking at our nation’s roots in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
William Penn’s policy of religious freedom, together with his astute advertising of the potential wealth of Pennsylvania, began to attract a large and multinational immigration. Philadelphia became a hub of commerce between the West Indies, Europe, the American coast, and the Pennsylvania farmers.

1 Corinthians 10:31b (ESV)
Whatever you do, do all to the glory of God.

Our Father in heaven,

We lift up the godly business people of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. We pray that whatever work they do, they will do it all to the glory of God. You have entrusted them with talents and with money. Deliver them from the service of self alone. May they serve the common good in their workplaces and throughout the community, working to establish Your kingdom in Philadelphia. May You be pleased by their faithfulness in what You have entrusted to them and prosper them greatly.

We bless their supply lines, their products, their transportation, and their customers! Blessings! Blessings! Blessings! Amen.
Luke 19:11-27
