Amalek

1 Samuel 15:32-33 (ESV)
Then Samuel said, “Bring here to me Agag the king of the Amalekites.” And Agag came to him cheerfully. Agag said, “Surely the bitterness of death is past.” And Samuel said, “As your sword has made women childless, so shall your mother be childless among women.” And Samuel hacked Agag to pieces before the Lord in Gilgal.

O Father,
The spirit of Amalek fears not God. It preys on the weak and vulnerable, enslaves, disrupts families, devours the inheritance of God’s people, and conspires with other spirits to cut off God’s people from becoming a nation.
We see through a glass darkly and do not fully comprehend the ways that the spirit of Amalek is manipulating this election. However, we recognize this new year of the Hebrew calendar, year 5777, as the year of the ruling sword. We stand in agreement with the words of Samuel,

As your sword has made women childless, so shall your mother be childless among women.

We decree that in our nation Amalek is discomfited by the Sword of the Spirit. Amen.
