Religious conscience law

From The Clarion Ledger: HB 1523 was passed by the Mississippi legislature and signed by Governor Phil Bryant. Judge Carlton Reeves banned the law from taking effect. Governor Bryant appealed Judge Reeves’ decision to the Fifth Circuit. Opposing voices have also filed briefs with the Fifth Circuit.

The names of the Fifth Circuit judges may be found here.

Proverbs 8:32-36 (MSG)
“So, my dear friends, listen carefully;
those who embrace these my ways are most blessed.
Mark a life of discipline and live wisely;
don’t squander your precious life.
Blessed the man, blessed the woman, who listens to me,
awake and ready for me each morning,
alert and responsive as I start my day’s work.
When you find me, you find life, real life,
to say nothing of God’s good pleasure.
But if you wrong me, you damage your very soul;
when you reject me, you’re flirting with death.”

Our Father in heaven,
With You is the fountain of life. In Your light, we see light. By Your wisdom, princes and nobles judge and govern rightly.
We bless the Fifth Circuit judges–Carl, Thomas, Carolyn, Grady, Patrick, Eugene, Edith, Jerry, John, Jacques, Rhesa, Fortunato, James, Edith, Edward, Priscilla, Jennifer, Leslie, Catharina, James, Stephen, and Gregg. We pray that the judges of the Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals will walk in Your light and adjudicate this appeal in Your wisdom.
Life, light, and godly wisdom in Mississippi! Amen.
