United Nations Security Council Resolution 2334 claims that “the establishment by Israel of settlements in the Palestinian territory occupied since 1967, including East Jerusalem, has no legal validity and constitutes a flagrant violation under international law . . .” By referring to the “4 June 1967 lines” as the basis for negotiations, United Nations Security Council Resolution 2334 effectively states that the Jewish Quarter of the Old City of Jerusalem and the Western Wall, Judaism’s holiest site, are “occupied territory.”
If I forget you, O Jerusalem, may my right hand forget its skill. May my tongue cling to the roof of my mouth if I do not remember you, If I do not consider Jerusalem my highest joy. Psalm 137:5-6
Our Father in heaven,
In Jerusalem, Your Son Jesus Christ shed His blood. He is the atoning sacrifice. In Jerusalem, You reconciled the world to Yourself through Christ. By His sacrifice, You have canceled our sins and restored us to favor with You. We are unworthy, and we thank You.
Jerusalem, O precious city, Jerusalem, O blessed city, Jerusalem, O lovely city, we pray for your peace. May peace be within your walls and prosperity within your palaces.
Father, remember our prayers. Remember how many times Psalm 122 has been read aloud in the United States. Have mercy upon our nation, especially Mississippi. Amen.
2 Corinthians 5:19, Psalm 122:6-7
