1 Chronicles 11:23 (ESV)
And he struck down an Egyptian, a man of great stature, five cubits tall. The Egyptian had in his hand a spear like a weaver’s beam, but Benaiah went down to him with a staff and snatched the spear out of the Egyptian’s hand and killed him with his own spear.
Our Father in heaven,
You are our strong deliverer. Your Son Jesus, though he was in the form of God, did not count equality with God a thing to be grasped, but emptied himself, by taking the form of a servant, being born in the likeness of men. And being found in human form, he humbled himself by becoming obedient to the point of death, even death on a cross.
We are blind and weak. We see through a glass darkly. If there are any spirits of Egypt empowering our current state flag, we say to them: God has highly exalted Jesus and bestowed on him the name that is above every name, so that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth, and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.
Jesus died for Mississippi, and we declare His name over the state. If there are spirits of Egypt empowering our current state flag, they must bow their knee and confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of Your name, dear Father.
Benaiah triumphs over the Egyptian with the spear like a weaver’s beam. The name of Jesus triumphs over any Egyptian spirits that might be empowering our current state flag.
A new flag of hope for Mississippi! Amen.
